Who we are

Quick-Steel-Fix Ltd is a Bedford-based subcontractor focused on one thing: getting reinforcement placed correctly, on programme, and signed off without drama. We work with main contractors on commercial, residential and infrastructure schemes — bringing CSCS-carded steel fixers and a clear method to each package.

The business was built around a simple idea. Steel fixing is a trade where details matter: cover, laps, spacing, congestion around couplers, tying patterns at restraints. The crews that get those details right save the main contractor time on the pre-pour inspection and money on rework. That's the standard we work to.

How we work

Before a single bar gets cut, we walk the package with you — sequencing, access, follow-on trades, ITP holds. Once we mobilise, we run the section ourselves: gang management, materials control, daily progress against the bar list, and quality checks before each pour window.

  • Pre-pour ITP walks coordinated with site QA before every concrete window
  • Daily allocation sheets tracking real progress against bar tonnage
  • Fully insured, CSCS-carded operatives with live RAMS, MARS and training records on file
  • Variations raised early and agreed in writing — never sprung at valuation

We take on full reinforcement packages on RC frames and infrastructure schemes — pilecaps and footings through to walls, columns, cores and suspended slabs. Labour-only enquiries welcome where the main contractor wants to keep the bar supply in-house.

Fully trained, with real knowledge of the trade.

Every gang is led by a chargehand with years on RC frames and infrastructure work. We don't put fixers on bars they aren't comfortable with, and we don't leave a section for someone else to chase down.
